Tespa announces HGC players no longer qualify for collegiate tournaments

In preparation for the 2017 collegiate season, Tespa announced on Twitter that any active players in the eight North American HGC teams will not be eligible to play in Tespa sanctioned Heroes events.

Heroes of the Dorm has been a highlight event for the past two years, showcasing new talent Heroes pro organizations have snagged up, most noteably MichaelUdall, akaface, and Fan, all Heroes of the Dorm champions on Gale Force eSports

Besides Dorm, Tespa also has the 'Heroes of the Storm Training Grounds' in the 2016-2017 season. The Training Grounds program will consist of weekly tournaments with gear and Blizzard prizes.

There have already been players announcing they would no longer be aiming for HGC play in 2017 with the new Tespa rule set.
One noteable team being Imported Support. Hosselote announced they would be disbanding, as three of their players attend Louisiana State University.

Moving forward, we we'll be parting ways with Shot and Fz in order to be able to participate in Dorm. We will be aiming for the final 4 and strongly believe we have what it takes to bring home the win in true SEC fashion.

With Blizzard announcing a whole new tournament format in 2017, no further details have been released as to how exactly this Tespa new ruleset will be managed.
