The group of death featured great Heroes of the Storm play and also gave Bob? the chance to show once again that they are aiming to be a top European team. We also got a redemption story with adrd taking down his former team Gamers2 and denying them participation in the ETS #3 finals.
In the first series of the day, Bob? showed that they are not afraid to experiment as they brought out a successful Chen pick by Atheroangel, in their third deciding game against Fnatic. The brew loving panda stood firm and bullied Fnatic's backline until he saw their core falling down.
Next we saw Team Spartanien try to claw their way out of the group. Sadly for them the competition was too fierce and they conceded 0:2 against Gamers2 and 1:2 against Fnatic. With those two losses the team found themselves knocked out from further participation.
In the clash between Gamers2 and Bob? we had another dusty pick by Atheroangel, who brought out a mean ETC with even meaner moshpits, frequently catching four people in his heoric. The series ended in a one-sided 2:0 which made Bob? the first team to qualify to the finals after directly defeating the favourites Fnatic and Gamers2.
The last series faced Fnatic and Gamers2 in a decided determining who will be the second team joining the ETS finals. Fnatic were out of blood and on the back of Lowell's solid Leoric play managed to snatch a 2:0. Gamers 2 still seemed shaken from their previous loss and even the surprising Sgt Hammer pick in the second game did not manage to help them clinch a victory and gain momentum.
The finals of ETS #3 will be held between the 11th and 13th of September and can be followed here. Teams will be battling for a $10,000? cash prize pool as well as great accessories and PC's provided by Roccat and Alienware.
