After weeks of anticipation, Kharazim is now finally in the game. Just now the latest patch went live for the NA, EU and Asia servers.
Leoric lost his title as the newest hero in the game, along with his amazing opening screen art. The Kharazim patch just went live on the North American servers, and Kharazim is now shown ready for action after starting up the game.
Kharazim is designed after the Monk class from the Diablo franchise, and is the first Diablo Support in the game. He was first announced, though without a name, during the PC Gaming show at E3 on the 17th of June. His toolkit consists of damage, utility and healing abilities that make him a well rounded hero. Kharazim is the first hero in the game that has a pickable Trait that you decide on instead of his first talent.
For anyone who bought him on the PTR this last week, he will be free and ready in your account when you log in. For the people who did not buy him in the PTR, you can now buy him in the live game either with ingame gold (15,000 gold) or with real money ($9.99). Or, if you think his default skin is dull, you can also go ahead and buy the Jade Dragon Kharazim Bundle for $12.99.
Kharazim is not the only novel thing in this patch; a number of changes were also implemented into Heroes of the Storm. Many heroes recieved a make-over including Kael'thas and Kerrigan. Because of changes to the matchmaking system that Blizzard uses, you will find that your rank for Hero League and Team League have been reset. Do not panic, this happened to everybody. Your hidden MMR ranking however has not changed, so you should still be matched up with players of your own skill level.
The patch is currently only live on the NA servers, we will update this post when the patch goes live for EU and Asia.
