Cloud 9 roster change: Fan switches from Vortex to Maelstrom

Cloud 9 reallocates talent to bring back Maelstrom to it's former days of domination.

It's no secret that Cloud 9 Maelstrom is a skilled Heroes of the Storm team. In our past ranking reports, we accurately reported on their NA domination across the board, citing impressing win streaks and aggressive play that left the rest of the competition struggling to keep up.

Then, they lost against Tempo Storm at the Dingit TV monthly Championships. This would be the first of many grand finals losses they would experience at the hands of Tempo Storm. More recently, Cloud 9 Maelstrom have taken 2nd place during the WCA 2015 NA qualifiers, the ESL Major League Season 2, and even the Road to BlizzCon NA qualifiers. All at the hands of Tempo Storm.

I think tilt is the most accurate way to describe it.

Cloud 9 fans will rejoice though, as Fan "Fan" Yang has just announced that he will be playing for Maelstrom in all upcoming tournament matches. This is no doubt an attempt to break the teams "T I L T" and reclaim the place as the number 1 NA Heroes team.

It isn't clear who will replace Fan's place in Cloud 9 Vortex, but whoever it is has some pretty big shoes to fill. Fan is most known for leading his team to victory during Heroes of the Dorm, and he has always been one of the strongest individual players on the Cloud 9 Vortex roster. This also brings up the question of whom on the current Cloud 9 Maelstrom roster will take the bench in order to make room for Fan. However this unfolds, it will make the inevitable clash between the new Cloud 9 Maelstrom and Tempo Storm even more entertaining to watch.

EDIT: The Cloud 9 Maelstrom roster page has been updated, confirming that Biceps has been replaced by Fan
