Team Liquid wins Zotac Cup

Team Liquid beats Na'vi 2-0 to win the ZOTAC Heroes of the Storm Monthly Final #3.

The #1 ranked team in our Global Rankings, Team Liquid had little difficulty going through the entire tournament bracket. They defeated lesser known Twisted Fuzion in round 1, before dispatching Gamers2 and Na'vi in the grand finals. Through the entire tournament they did not drop a single game, going a perfect 5-0. Na'vi similarly went undefeated against Fnatic and APHeroes before their eventual loss to Team Liquid.

In the Grand Finals, Team Liquid ran their feared Blackscorp Zeratul in both games. While both games GG'd at the 18 minute mark, Na'vi still played a competitive series. But it was still the same tune for Team Liquid: early pushing with well coordinated team fights. The bull rush style worked against Na'vi, who had a level disadvantage going into the mid-game both times, preventing their ability to take a team fight pre-level 10.

There weren't any surprising hero picks, except perhaps Jaina being noticeably absent from both games. Team Liquid did ban Tyriel twice, and Kael'thas was first pick each time.

The ZOTAC Monthly Cup is a small series, but still featured three of the top four teams in European scene according to Gosu Gamer's rankings. Congratulations to Team Liquid for solidfying their #1 spot on the global rankings (they are on a seven series winning streak) and winning a nice 250 euros.
