Decklist spotlight: Nine more decks from the first week of Un’Goro

Lots of Hunter plus a hope that Freeze Mage might not be dead after all.

Every time a new expansion launches, there are surprises hiding around the corner. Card that we believed were good proved unplayable, and vice versa. In three days, Journey to Un’Goro has flipped the expectation tables multiple times.

[card]the marsh queen[/card] was heralded as the savior of Hunter but it looks like the class is doing fine without it, better even. ThijsNL, Orange and NaviOOT have all been playing with hybrid/midrange versions which all they do is curve and weave in Steady Shots: Nothing fancy, nothing regal, just good old Hunter play.

[card]open the waygate[/card] is another quest card which has gotten a lot of attention and is certainly seeing a lot of play with great success in this first week, but that’s not all Mage has to offer. ThijsNL is once again experimenting with non-questing builds and has being playing with an Elemental Tempo Mage, while across the Atlantic Abar has gone completely crazy. The American seems to not care about the rotation of [card]ice lance[/card] and has built a Freeze Mage nonetheless!

Make sure to check our deck library regularly, as we’ll constantly update with more decks from pro players and streamers.
