Decklist spotlight: SuperJJ’s victorious line-up from Zagreb Gaming Arena

Expectedly, pirates were the name of the game as the German won in Croatia.

A month later after the release of Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, the metagame is yet to move away from the aggressive decks. The so called “Pirate package” remains prevalent in competitive decks and after they ruled Esports Superstars and SeatStory Cup VI, they invaded the Zagreb Gaming Arena, too.

For Jan “SuperJJ” Janssen, who defeated the competition yesterday to win €4,000 and his first title for 2017, the choice to include [card]patches the pirate[/card] and [card]small-time buccaneer[/card] in the majority of his decks was an easy one. The German used the very aggressive Pirate Weapon Warrior and Aggro Shaman decks, in conjunction with the improved Miracle Rogue – now including [card]shaku the collector[/card] – and the midrange-y Dragon Priest to make for a full minion-centric line-up.

With this set-up, SuperJJ dropped just three games as he went through “Kamikaza”, “Wild” and Radu “Rdu” Dima for the championship.
