Top GosuRanked players in attendance

Germany Xixo - World Rank #1

Xixo has been the uncontested best player of the year, now entering his 14th week as #1 on the GosuRankings. The German came close to beating ThijsNL's all-time peak score of 1,450 several times and will try to beat it again this weekend at GameGune.

Russia Pavel - World Rank #2

The new world champion will make his first major LAN appearance after Blizzcon this weekend and eyes are fixed on him. Every tournament each champion attends wearing his new crown is highly scrutinized: will Pavel live up to the post-Worlds successes of Firebat and Ostkaka?

Germany Lifecoach - World Rank #3

Speaking of Pavel, he's in a tough group at GameGune, featuring not only world's #8 in Hoej but also world's #3 in Lifecoach. The G2 marquee player is fresh off his victory at SeatStory Cup and will be gearing up for another strong LAN showing before he goes to defend his SSC title in December.

Germany SuperJJ - World Rank #5

SuperJJ has fallen a bit since his best days and has lost the battle for the #1 ranking spot to Xixo but he's still a fierce competitor. The fact that he's barely left the top 5 all year and has held the #1 for extended periods of time is a clear showing that the Complexity ace has what it takes to win a major: Consistency and perseverance.

Denmark StanCifka - World Rank #6

StanCifka has laid quiet for some time now, his last appearance being at PGL Bucharest where he finished second. The Czech has been dealt a tough group with SuperJJ and also ThijsNL as his first round opponent but past records indicate that he is still a heavy favorite for the playoffs.
