ATLC2 reveals its line-up of qualifier players

These 32 players will compete over a four-week-long tournament to fill one of the league’s remaining team slots.

The Amazon Coins Qualifier has selected which Hearthstone names will battle against each other for inclusion in the upcoming Amaz Team League Championships 2. Every week 32 competitors will be whittled down into a winning trio, who will form another of the competition’s 8 teams.

In the line-up you’ll notice a mix of unknowns and accomplished Hearthstone names. Stalwarts of the scene include Gosugamer's top ranked Frederik “hoej” Nielson and Jon “Orange” Westberg, recent Blizzcon qualifiers Ole “Naiman” Batyrbekov and Julien “Cydonia” Perrault, and of course the newly crowned 2016 Hearthstone World Champion Pavel Beltukov.

Initially all 32 players will battle against opponents of a similar win-record, where possible. The first 24 players to win three matches will qualify for the next round. This will continue until the top-8, where all remaining contestants will play a single-elimination, best-of-5 conquest format final round (with the same rules as the ATLC2).

The winning team will go on to join the currently revealed teams G2 Esports, “Gentleman’s Club” and Cloud9 in the main event. The ATLC 2 is currently in its Kickstarter crowdfunding stage, and will need to raise at least $206,000 before the end of November to be greenlit.

The first Amazon Coins Qualifier will begin this Thursday at 10am PDT, with Zalae and Firebat casting. The matches will be streamed via Amaz’s Twitch Channel
