It’s all down to the HCT casters as the fifth Challengestone tournament draws near.
The deckbuilding tournament organized by Rania “underflowR” Hatzi, Octavian “Kripparrian” Morosan and Tempo Storm is about to have its latest installment at Blizzcon this weekend, November 4-5. Details on the challenge are still unannounced but the line-up is already out.
Dan “Frodan” Chou, TJ “Azumo” Sanders, Brian Kibler and James “Firebat” Kostesich are the four that will take part in Challengestone #5, the line-up already including two of tournament’s past champions: Kibler as the inaugural and Firebat as the reigning. Judging by Kripparrian’s tweet, the tournament will also feature a round robin group as opposed to the single elimination it used in previous editions.
The Challengestone series has put its players through a variety of weird formats, and so far they’ve battled through an “odds and evens” where minions must have odd-number attack and spells must cost an even-number mana; a “true highlander” where all three decks of the same class and no duplicates or multiples are allowed across all decks; when only cards capable of targeting other cards or heroes were allowed; and “the grand battle” where all cards had to be epic, legendary or part of TGT.
