SeatStory Cup will return for its sixth edition in December

Everyone’s favorite invitational will close the calendar year with the signature homely atmosphere.

For many Hearthstone fans, SeatStory Cup is the one tournament they cannot miss. Held in the studio apartment of TakeTV in Krefeld, Germany, the name is synonymous with the very spirit of Hearthstone competition: a relaxed, tavern-like atmosphere where card slinging goes hand in hand with memorable activities outside the game.

The most recent edition of SeatStory Cup ran this July and saw Adrian “Lifecoach” Koy win a third LAN title to his name, defeating Fade2Karma’s “J4CKIECHAN” in a narrow-biting final and was largely celebrated as the most memorable tournament of the year at the time. The sixth issue has been scheduled for December 15-18 and will feature the same prize pool of $20,000. No details on the players or their number has been announced, but with SeatStory having traditionally featured a pool of 32 in two group stages leading into playoffs, there’s no indication a change of structure will be implemented.

If you’re feeling nostalgic about the Summer metagame, why not go back and see what Lifecoach and J4CKIECHAN played at the finals of the previous edition right here?
