Trang “Chanisushi” Thai Ha defeated GosuCup’s best performer Dustin “WaningMoon” Mangulabnan to plant Vietnam’s flag on the GosuCup peak.

Only competing since April, it took Chanisushi less than two months to get to her first tournament win. On Saturday, the Vietnamese newcomer took down multiple GosuCup top four finishers including Wkyew, Mikagami and – most notably – WaningMoon to be crowned champion of GosuCup SEA #4.

This is the second championship for Vietnam since the start of the 2016 GosuCup SEA circuit. Although the country has been traditionally strong in the region’s premier open tournament, it’s somewhat struggling compared to past years when it was Philippines’ strongest rival.

For her run, Chanisushi will take home $300 alongside 3 HCT points. Runner-up WaningMoon is awarded with $150 and 2 HCT points, while bronze finalist Kambras14 is left with $50 and 1 HCT point.

If you’re an APAC player and want to claim cash and glory for yourself and your country, register for GosuCup SEA #5, coming this Saturday!
