The HCT Spring Preliminaries for Europe and over and the old continent knows which eight will face in the championship next month. Here's what they used.
After DreamHack Austin, the HCT EU Spring Preliminaries were the next big metagame-defining tournament. With over 220 players competing across the Tavern Hero bracket and the main qualifier, every single class and archetype was represented. Yet, nobody remembers what was brought to a tournament in general, but what proved successful in the end. Despite the overwhelming number of N'Zoth Paladins in players' line-ups, only four of the eight finalists made it through by using the hot new variation of Uther. The same is true for Tempo Warrior - another popular deck that ended up being in half the winning line-ups.
At the same time, Warlock was present in every single one of the eight line-ups below, with 5:3 Reno-to-Zoo ratio. Shaman is another omnipresent class, equally split between its midrange and aggro versions. Thrall ended up being banned in a lot of the game, as competitors rightfully feared the pressure he's capable of dishing out.
