Orange vs Hoej to kick off championship Sunday at DreamHack Winter

Two of the best Norse players will play in the highlight match of the quarter final round as the tournament resumes at 12:45 CET.

The Dane of Natus Vincere has been almost unstoppable in Jonkoping. Hoej finished as the topmost seed at the swiss round, raining terror upon his opponents with his Secrets Paladin and dropped just a single match in Round 9 to Tomof. His Ro16 opponent, Dignitas’ Hak-Jun “Kranich” Baek wasn’t much of an obstacle either and Hoej’s Druid swept the Korean clean.

As Hoej moves on to the quarter finals, he will face fellow Norsemen and double majors champion Jon “Orange” Westberg of Archon. The Swede took a narrow victory over G2 star Dima “Rdu” Radu and will aim at winning his third LAN event this year, same as Hoej.

There are a couple more stories making the DreamHack bracket interesting. Ryan “Purple” Root is standing as the only non-European in the quarter finals, after finishing second in the swiss round and beating Dragonalbert in the Ro16. In the same half of the bracket, DreamHack Valencia champion James “Greensheep” Luo is in the running to possibly become the only two-times DH Hearthstone champion in brand’s history.
