Gamers2 signs Nihilum's Hearthstone Roster

Source: Gamers2

Very surprisingly, the team managed by Jakub "Lothar" Szygulski changed its colours only hours before the start of the European Regionals for the Road to BlizzCon.

Gamers2, also known as G2 or Gamers2.Kinguin, is one of the biggest and most well-known teams in the eSports scene with rosters in the popular titles CS:GO and League of Legends, but also in smaller, up-coming games such as Heroes of the Storm or Vain Glory. Now, the Spanish organization makes its first step into starting a Hearthstone section - a massive step that is.

By signing the entire team of Nihilum, Gamers2 is suddenly one of the biggest names in Blizzard's card game. Ex-Nihilum just won the Archon Team League Championships not a mere month ago, earning $150,000 and thus one of the biggest prizes given out in the game's history so far. Furthermore, Adrian "Lifecoach" Koy and Thijs Molendijk are about to represent their new team at the upcoming European Regionals for the Road to BlizzCon, which are starting on Saturday, 3rd of October. It seems like EU's newest teams, Na'Vi and Gamers2, are also going to be the continent's most dominant ones for now.

As for why the entire Nihilum-team changed its colours to the ones of Gamers2, not much is known as the move was a big surprise even to a lot of people deeply involved in the community. Both teams are known to have deep ties to one of their sponsors, Kinguin, but that is where the accordances stop already. As it was the case with Nihilum, team captain Jakub "Lothar" Szygulski will be more than just a player, picking up the role of G2's new Chief Gaming Officer.

Ex-Nihilum, current Gamers2.Kinguin-roster:

Germany Adrian "Lifecoach" Koy
Netherlands Thijs Molendijk
Romania Dima "Rdu" Radu
Poland Jakub "Lothar" Szygulski
