Before we pack our suitcases for Prague, "The Innervated" podcast returns to grade the eight players attending the Europe Championship and discuss ways to make Tavern Brawl and Arena even better.
It's a slow news week but a storm is brewing as the Hearthstone world prepares for BlizzCon and the regional championships that precede it. In their last show for this month, show's hosts gather round to argue how the eight players going to Prague are stacked against each other. Who are the favorites and who are the underdogs? Why? Can Italy and Gera89 produce another wonderful Cinderella story? Or will the EU Championship be a tour de force with Nihilum and Na'Vi on the forefront?
The second part of the show will be reserved for Hearthstone's alternative playmodes: Arena and Tavern Brawl. What do they require to better engage the Hearthstone population? What long and short term incentives could make them more lucrative? Is Blizzard missing obvious opportunities with either of these playmodes?
