Forsen was the only big name who managed to squeeze through the qualification stage
The four invites and four qualifier winners are ready to rock. These are the matches that will open the fourth edition of The Pinnacle on April 3rd.
Despite experiencing a very rocky qualifier process which caused discontent with the Hearthstone community, The Pinnacle 4 is strolling towards its official live launch in two weeks’ time. As is tradition, a total of eight players will take part though this time the distribution is quite balanced.
For the qualifiers, three separate 8-man double elimination brackets were held and Tomflr, Frid and Muzzy were the ones who won them. With all three being relatively unknown names in the professional scene, The Pinnacle 4 was certainly set up for new experiences.
The three runner-ups in those brackets – namely Forsen, WaningMoon and Zetalot – had to play a tie-breaker group and ultimately it was the Swede who moved on, having just a slightly better map score than the others.
The qualifier quartet now joins the group of invites, consisting of ThijsNL, PurpleDrank, TidesofTime and Darkwonyx. The two groups are as follows:
As usual, the top two players from each group will move on to the double elimination playoffs bracket. Once again, $5,000 are on the line.
