Genji "Genji27" Saclolo is the twelfth winner of the GosuCup SEA series! The Filipino player is heading to the grand finals next month where he will be the sixth player representing his country.
We're midway through January 2015 and there are just four more GosuCup SEA tournaments remaining from the current season. This means eight more players will go to the $500 grand finals next month!
The most recent one to do so was Genji27 from the Philippines, who fought through a 128-man "budget" bracket to earn his place. The up-and-coming player had to defeat players from six different countries, including his Filipino compatriot and household name in the local scene Zadkiel in the semi finals. The grand finals were played against Thai player Exclusiveeee where Genji took a 2-0 lead right from the start before wrapping it in game four.

Even though Vietnam is still a record holder for most tournament champions, the amount of top four finishers the Philippines have by this point is stunning. A whole month before circuit's end, there are six players from the Philippines slated to take part in the grand finals, more than any other country thus far.
