Second GosuCup Budget win for Vietnam

Coverage hub: All info in one place

Thanhtu "Condauco" Tu inherits takes the second budget GosuCup and marches towards the $500 grand finals in February, bringing a second victory for his home country.

After first round eliminations in GosuCup #1 and #2, Condauco had a way better run this time. The Vietnamese drilled through his first three opponents with 2-0, before encountering reigning budget champion DaPh in the quarter finals. It was a four-game series that advanced Condauco forward, and 3-0 in the semi final against Philippines player Kaizeen_3 and a 3-1 in the grand final against Indonesian KepSId secured him a spot in the final showdown in three months time.

GosuCup SEA #4 standings

1. Vietnam Condauco - 50 Dota 2 keys + spot in the grand final
2. Indonesia KepSId - 25 Dota 2 keys
3. Philippines Kaizeen_3 - 10 Dota 2 keys
4. Singapore Csnoobie - 5 Dota 2 keys
5-8. Vietnam Daph - 5 Dota 2 keys
5-8. Vietnam Yuki_hs - 5 Dota 2 keys
5-8. Malaysia Pecacrunch - 5 Dota 2 keys
5-8. Indonesia Dragodz - 5 Dota 2 keys

In the nation standings, Vietnam takes a good lead over the rest of the region. Condauco's victory, of course, is what skyrocketed the red flags to the top but it was also thanks to Daph's and Yuki's top eight finishes which helped to pump the points.

Second behind Vietnam comes Indonesia, which has three runner-ups in the last four GosuCups. The Philippines are third, just one point behind Indonesia and three ahead of Singapore.

Nation standings after week #4

1. Vietnam Vietnam - 17 points
2. Indonesia Indonesia - 15 points
3. Philippines Philippines - 14 points
4. Singapore Singapore - 11 points
5. Malaysia Malaysia - 9 points
6. Thailand Thailand - 6 points
7. Laos Laos - 0 points
7. Cambodia Cambodia - 0 points
7. Burma Burma - 0 points
