Prismata Cup qualifiers end with European supremacy [decklists inside]

Recently, GosuGames partnered with Prismata Cup to host the last chance qualifiers for the second event. Last night, we found the four players who'll be joining the other household names in one week's time.

Due to Prismata Cup being a merit-based events, we had strict entry requirements for the LCQ participants. Only players who achieved top 100 in either NA or EU for the August season or have two top 8 finishes in 64+ tournaments for the last three months were allowed to participate.

The first day of competition had to be cut short due to overlap with the NA BlizzCon qualifiers but that was just in time so we can congratulate the first player to get out of the bracket alive - the only non-European Tomflr. On the second day, we had to go through the remainder of the losers bracket and finish the second winners bracket semi final. In the latter, it was Lucky who defeated Random and joined the Aussie in the main event.

The lower bracket became a battle between the United States and Europe. Worthy of applause is The3Rat's run below, who managed to win against GosuCup champion Flaxh, Blizzgrarg and WaningMoon to keep his tournament life before finally getting slain by Spanih player Sixis in the fourth round. The Spaniard went on to slay another America in ARee and walked out as one of the four finalists.

The other half of the lower bracket witnessed Thefishou's will for survival. After losing to WaningMoon in his first upper bracket game, Thefishou had to win five in a row against Dreax, Infernity, Milithium, Lockdown and Random before moving on to the main event, all within one loss of elimination. His final Lower Bracket score? 15-2.

Prismata Cup 2 LCQ winners:

Australia Tomflr
Spain Lucky
