On the heels of the successful first VGVN Naxxramas Release Tournament, LiquidHearth and ONOG announced the second edition of the tournament which will air on August 29th through the 31st.
For the second edition of the tournament, eight players will compete for a prize pool worth $2500. Returning to the tournament will be last tournament's champion Amaz and runner-up Realz.
Four new invitees join the returning pros: Trump, Hyped, ThijsNL and Kolento. Two players who qualified from the open qualifiers will round out the tournament.
For the second edition, a best of five round robin format will be observed in the group stage, leading to a best of seven single elimination Top 4. Players will be allowed one ban per round.
Three weeks ago, Liquidhearth announced the Liquidhearth Open. The open, which seeded into VGVN Release Tournament #1, garnered over 250 sign-ups. For the second edition, the open will be accessible to players from EU. Two qualifier events on August 24th -- one on NA and one on EU -- will be hosted. Players will not be limited to only one tournament and the events will be staggered by three hours: EU will begin at 11am EDT (5pm CET) and the NA Open will begin at 2pm EDT (8pm CET).
