StarsWar III Quali Groupstage

The groupstage of the StarsWar III European qualifier was played yesterday. Today the playoff awaits for the eight players who qualified for it. Below are results!

The matches were played best of three in the four groups with five players in each. The two top placed players were to advance to the playoffs that is being played today (Saturday). In many of the groups it turned out really close, but in the end the eight players were settled. In Group A the Danish Orc Ciara won all his matches except for the one against XyLigan. Taking the second place though was none other than the German mTw-Protois after losing to Ciara only.

Group B was Ukraine-dominated. The two Ukranian players FiX and HoT swiped the two top spots, with HoT coming on top winning all his matches. FiX lost against DeMuslim and HoT but still managed to qualify. Group C with FuRy (picture) and Paladyn coming out on top. FuRy did just as HoT and swept clean 4-0, while Paladyn had 2-2, and only qualified because of beating DIDI8 making Paladyn higher ranked.

The last group - Group D called the group of death, included top notch players as Creolophus, Insomnia, Rotterdam, HasuObs and Abver. The Top 2 however ended up as Insomnia (picture) and Creolophus, both players getting 3-1 with Creolophus losing to HasuObs while Insomnia lost to Creolophus, thereby placing Creolphus as the #1.
