TONIGHT'S MATCHES THAT WE'LL GIVE A LITTLE EXTRA FOCUS ON are the three last matches, which include top players such as Giacomo (picture) from Czech Republic - winner of the latest DreamHack tournament who faces Insomnia, the oldschool Human player from SK-Gaming. We have FuRy from Sweden - GosuGamers' previous King of the Hill going up against DIDI8, a classic match, as they faced eachother in GosuGamers first King of the Hill game won by FuRy in five close games. They also faced eachother in Samsung European Championship, where DIDI8 was the victor. Interview with AoD-FireStrike
GosuGamers caught up with the Austrian gamer FireStrike who played against Vankor in today's EuroCup. We asked him about his opponent, his chances of advancing and a bit more.
What do you think of your opponent Vankor?
- Vankor is one of the best UD players in Europe. He got great international experience and already plays a long time on a high level.
Were you surprised that you won, or did you expect it?
- I expected to win vs Vankor. I also just beated Giacomo on the WWCL Offline Finals 2-0 so I think it's one of my best matchups. Maybe because orc is a little bit better than undead ;)
What made you win the games? What maps were played?
- In the end I can say that my experience and my favor for the Orc versus Undead matchup made me win these matches - maps were: Twisted Meadows, Gnoll Wood and Echo Isles.
What do you think of your group?
- My group is quite hard with the stars Deadman and Zeus, as well as ghost and my clanally eLquA.
How do you rate your chances of advancing?
- As only #1 is fixed for next round, and #2 vs #3 plays for playoffs, it almost impossible for me to advance in this group. But i will do my best to succeed and use this as a good chance to practice vs high-class europeans.
Who do you fear the most? Who will win the whole EuroCup?
- I guess my favourite 4K.Grubby will win this Eurocup Season - as he is the most given player in Europe.
