Socke, SjoW and Squirtle will be moving in to a tiebreaker where they will play each other in a best-of-one format. The dice had Squirtle and Socke start playing each other.
SjoW, who was watching the Socke versus Fenix game in the audience, felt really relieved seeing the German pass through.
- "It was kinda sick, I can't believe it. When I lost to Squirtle I thought I was out," says SjoW on ESL TV.
- "I just saw the last part and it seemed amazing," he adds. And indeed it was. Socke made tons of micromanage mistakes, but his unit production and overall strategy compensated the mistakes. It turned in to a real nerve wrecking match with all that was at stake.
You won against Socke, but lost to Squirtle. Was it the Korean play style that made you lose?
- Yeah, I'm familiar with it, I played it quite a lot. I saw it too late, so I didn't have enough vikings, so I just went with the army I had.
