Mineski keep only two players from the roster that tried to qualify to The International 2017.
With both Mineski and Team Faceless experiencing a very disappointing run in the TI7 SEA regional qualifiers, the captains of the two teams will now join forces to head into the next season. Daryl Koh 'iceiceice' Pei Xiang, the mastermind of Team Faceless, a team that simply dominated the entire SEA scene ahead of TI7, had a surprisingly underwhelming performance at the regional qualifiers for the most important event of the year. Faceless didn’t even manage to pass the group stage and soon after the qualifiers were over, Iceiceice announced the team’s disbandment. Mineski, on the other hand, tried for the first time in their existence to play with an international roster and while everything looked good on paper, with two CIS players moving to Malaysia to compete in the TI7 SEA qualifiers under Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung’s command, the team fell short in the playoffs stage and missed the train to Seattle.
While Mushi and Michael 'ninjaboogie' Ross are the only two players kept under the Misneki banner for the new season, two of the Team Faceless players will join them. Iceiceice will most likely take the offlane position at the new Mineski and he comes to the team along with Anucha 'Jabz' Jirawong who played position 4 support at Faceless.
It is still unclear who will take the mid role and who will carry the team as ex WG Unity Kam 'NaNa' Boon Seng joins Mushi’s squad now. Nana used to play in the mid lane at WG Unity and Mushi is an esteemed mid laner as well. However, during his long career, Mushi switched between the carry and solo mid roles quite a few times, so with that in mind we might see him once again doing just that with this new Mineki line-up.
