Faceless grab top seed at the Boston Major SEA qualifiers

Four teams advanced to the SEA regional qualifiers playoffs, the rest of five will have to put on hold their Major dream until next year’s spring season.

Faceless, Mineski, Fnatic and Warriors Gaming Unity are the top four teams at the end of the group stage and will continue their road to Boston in the SEA qualifiers playoffs. Faceless took the group lead and had the privilege of choosing their first opponent for the playoffs after achieving a perfect 8-0 run and 24 maximum points. Daryl Koh 'iceiceice' Pei Xiang’s team picked as their opponents  the only squad that made it into the top four from open qualifiers, Warriors Gaming Unity and will open tomorrow’s bracket matches at 05:00 CEST/ 11:00 SGT. In the playoffs all the series are best-of-three, with the top two teams qualifying for the Boston Major main event.

Main favorites of the group stage, Fnatic finished tied in points with WG.Unity and secured their spot into the playoffs. However, the other team expected to reach the playoffs stage, TnC lost two out of their three games in the second day and finished only on the sixth position, with a total of nine points.

October 29, 05:00 CEST/11:00 SGT: Faceless vs  WG Unity
October 29, 08:30 CEST/14:30 SGT: Fnatic vs Mineski
October 29, 12:00 CEST/ 18:00 SGT: TBD vs TBD -lower bracket elimination match
