EHOME.X knocked out Newbee Young in the semi-finals and Vici Gaming Potential in the grand finals, claiming their spot in the Chinese regional qualifiers without losing a single game.
The Boston Major open qualifiers semi-finals and grand finals were held in a best-of-three format, however, EHOME.X did not need this security as they dominated on their way to the Chinese closed regional qualifiers. After two quick matches lasting around 30 minutes against Newbee Young in the semi-finals, EHOME.X’s first game in the grand finals dragged on for more than an hour.
In the best-of-one matches, EHOME.X went with the classic dual or triple safe lane, and when the team reached the best-of-three rounds, they switched to running aggressive trilanes. The trilanes, which were used against both Newbee Young and VG.P, were usually based on good nukes and strong healing sustainability, brought by heroes like Witch Doctor, Oracle and Skywrath Mage.
With their victory in the first wave of Chinese open qualifiers, EHOME X will join the eight invited squads in the closed regional qualifiers. The second round of open qualifiers will commence tomorrow, October 25th.
