LGD Gaming and Vici Gaming created two new squads and were among the last teams to finalize their rosters just hours before the 2016 Fall Shuffle to end.
Both organizations kept their main teams, LGD choosing to bring in a couple of youngsters and rebuild a lineup around Lu 'Maybe' Yao while Vici Gaming simply promoted their Reborn squad to the main team. At the same time, they created two brand new teams, Vici Gaming J and LGD Forever Young respectively, where some of the best Chinese players found new homes. The TI4 Champion, Zhang 'xiao8' Ning is joined by Xie 'Super' Junhao and Yao 'Yao' Zhengzheng at LGD Forever Young, both players with heavy achievements on their resumes. Super was the runner up at the same TI4 where xiao8 took the Aegis home to China, while Yao finished in two top threes with LGD at TI2 and TI5. The three veterans will kick start the new LGD squad along with two lesser known players world-wide, namely Luo 'Lpc' Puchao who has been the captain of TongFu for the past two years, and Du 'Monet' Peng who debuted last year at FTD Club C and moved in the post Shanghai Major shuffle to CDEC Avenger.

Vici Gaming scrapped the Reborn squad by simply promoting the players to the main team, and replaced it with a new team that features Honorary Captain, NBA player Jeremy Lin, hence the letter 'J' from Vici Gaming J. The new VG project benefits from the experience of five Chinese players that need no introduction, the only so called rookie, compared with the other four, being Wang 'Nono' Xin who joined the pro scene at the beginning of this year with CDEC Avenger and moved to VG Reborn afterwards in the post Shanghai Major shuffle.
