The online qualifiers run for the first edition of Game Show - Global eSports Cup have ended last night with compLexity claiming the last spot for the LAN playoffs in Vilnius.
Although compLexity Gaming still struggles to secure a five man roster after the departure of Fly-Symba and Moonmeander in the post TI5 aftermath, the three core members seemed to be enough for the US squad to secure themselves a spot for the GeC LAN playoffs.
compLexity's great run continued in the decisive best-of-five group stage playoff where they faced Elite Wolves. With a crushing performance, compLexity defeated the Peruvians last night with a clear 3-0 victory and now they can focus on stabilizing the team roster for the upcoming LAN.
List of the eight qualified teams at Vilnius playoffs LAN:
Vega Squadron
Team Empire
TnC
Invictus Gaming
NewBee
4Clovers & Lepricon
No Logic Gaming
compLexity Gaming
Having all the qualifier stages finished, Game Show - Global eSports Cup Season One is now preparing to start its offline part. First step will be the studio LAN where the eight qualified teams will be playing from 30th of November to 3rd December for the DreamHack Moscow grand finals spots. There are four slots up for grabs for the last act of GeC and an impressive $330,000 prize pool to be shared.
