At the end of four long days in The International 5 group stage all the two game series from Grop A have been played. LGD Gaming finished on the first place fallowed by Team Secret.
The importance of securing an Upper Bracket spot at this year’s International is huge as the four teams from each group that made it are now just one series away to secure a top 6 finish and a $1,000,000 prize.
The big surprise for group A is compLexity Gaming who had a very good overall performance and after they defeated Cloud 9 and Fnatic with 2-0 today, finished on an incredible third place. The fourth place finishers are Cloud 9, which means Envy’s team has a high chance to improve their 5th-6th place from last year’s International.
The bottom four teams Invictus Gaming, MvP.Phoenix, Fnatic and Natus Vincere will have to survive a brutal BO1 first round in the Lower Bracket and after that they will have to fight their way back in the Upper Bracket in normal BO3 series.
