Major League Gaming decided to give the community a glimpse of their upcoming Worlds Finals in New Orleans. The invitations have not been sent yet and the qualifiers are still to be detailed but the format released on their homepage looks very similar to ESL’s usual settings.
The event will take place in the Ernest N. Morial Center where 8 teams from all continents will have a 2-day brawl from October 16th to 18th. The bracket will be a best-of-three single elimination with a best-of-five grand final, meaning that four teams may be eliminated from the event after playing only two games.
The base prize pool consists of an impressive $250,000 that will be boosted via ticket and items sold not only for this particular event but also from the previous two seasons. Both VIP and General Admission passes are being sold right now at a prize of $199 and $49 respectively.
MLG representatives already stated that more information will be available after TI5 ends.
