Secret secures 10 points, VP gets their first 3

One of the last encounters from group A was an emotional one for both Na’Vi and Secret fans as they clashed for the first time in the group stage.

Team Secret vs Na’Vi

Being two teams that know each other so well, the drafting stage was quite interesting to watch and it end up with surpriseing last picks for both sides. Secret went with an Enchantress while Na’Vi picked a XBOCT Clincz.

First game started very good for Na’Vi and especially for ArtStyle who drew the first blood for his team but also was continuously roaming around the map getting a bunch of kills which put Na’Vi in the lead. But in all this time Arteezy was left to free farm on Anti-Mage and once he got his key items the Na’Vi dominance came to an end.  Losing three teamfights in a row Na’Vi taped out with the GG call 35 minutes into the game.

In the second game everyone from Secret got to play their most feared heroes as Zai was on Tusk, Puppey played Dazzle, Kuroky got Naga Siren and s4 was playing his one million dollars Dream Coil Puck and as a direct consequence they had a brilliant run.

The early game was quiet as Secret supports were busy to continuously stack the entire jungle for their Anti-Mage, Kuroky setting up a show at this chapter as he was staking with his illusions the ancients and three other camps at once. After Areezy felt that he farmed enough to show himself in teamfights Secret started to push Na’Vi towers. In the process they lost two teamfights which made Kuroky to build an Aghanim’s Scepter (it was the second Aghs built in cometitve games by a Naga Siren) and with the heavy heals provided by his ultimate Secret went for a final push and took their second clear 2-0 victory of the day.

Virtus Pro vs CDEC Gaming

CDEC had a strong start in game one, winning all their lanes hard and forced VP to play a premature five man DotA. With Agressif on his signature QoP CDEC was feeling confident that can upset VP but the much more experienced Russian squad could not be beaten at what they excel the most: aggressive playstyle.

Once the key items came online for VP (blink dagger for Earthshaker and BkB for G’s SF) they simply crushed the young Chinese squad and took the first game.

Feeling confident to try something different for the second game, Vitrtus.Pro drafted for Illidan a hero that we don’t get to see too often these days, Chaos Knight supported by fng - Crystal Maiden. The early game was a much more calm one as both teams prefers to safely farm their cores and it was VP who broke the rule soon as DkPhobos finished the Mekanism on his Darkseer.

With great display of their personal skills and perfect coordination in teamfights, DkPhobos especially with his top notch vacuums and Walls of Replica, VP snowballed throughout the mid game stage and took an easy 2-0 victory over CDEC Gaming
