A new inhouse league has been launched as a collabration between a few top tier professional players and Faceit, the league will feature pros from Europe and will have a prize pool of €10,000.
Alliance's Jonathan 'Loda' Berg announced the Faceit Pro League on Reddit, a completely new inhouse league started for Professional Players and to help upcoming players get noticed in the pro scene. The client and platform will be provided by Faceit. The league started on 13 April and will be held on a monthly basis, featuring a prize pool of €10,000.
Loda also says that he's not the only one in the project and that Funn1k is the true backbone, other pros also helped along with Faceit. The intial playerpool will be from CIS/Europe and the matches will be played on European servers. Loda also talks about the vouching system, "We agreed to vouch only those players able to guarantee a certain competitive level which for us remains the unique and essential element to keep an Inhouse Legue project successful and entertaining for both players and community." He also talks about adding players who are currently teamless to the starting list as well,"Also other “teamless” guys who we think are more than enough skilled for the FPL will appear in the starting list."
The league will also allow the influx of "young blood" to the league via the Faceit ladder system, top three players from of the "Master Leauge" will qualify for FPL. This will help newer players to get noticed by professional players and organisations. The league will also have DotaTV tickets and a weekly show from the GD Studio.
Dreamleague are also using the Faceit platform for the Dreamleague Season 2 open qualifiers, they've had some problems such as teams not being be able to with a stand-in but that was fixed by the Faceit staff immediately.
Besides the initial playerpool and in order to keep the influx of young, fresh players going, other players can qualify in the lague trough the Faceit ladder system, where every month the top 3 players of the ''Master League'' will qualify for the top one. We hope with this system to give new young talents an easier way to take more visibility for the professional scene, just how it was very long time ago.
