Details announced for joinDOTA MLG Pro League Season 1

Scheduled to begin on January 24th and featuring a base prize pool of $75,000, the first season will begin with European, American and Asian group stages with the Championship finals due to take place on April 10th in Columbus, Ohio.

The partnership between Major League Gaming and joinDOTA have announced some of the details for their inaugural season of their Pro League event. Though details on the format or the amount of teams expected to compete are limited, they have announced that a European round robin group stage is scheduled to begin on January 24th, with the American and Asian group stages to follow over the coming months. This is all building towards MLG Columbus on April 10th, where the season Championships will take place to compete for a  base prize pool of $75,000. The winner will come away with 40% of the prize pool, currently at $30,000 and is expected to take a place in the $250,000 World Championship held at a later date. 

At the first Championship final, the tournament will feature another round robin group stage between the six qualified teams to decide which four teams will progress into the next stage, with two teams facing elimination. The remaining four teams will compete in a bubble race format, beginning with the third and fourth placed teams competing for a chance to progress towards the higher seeded teams. Though more teams are expected to be announced for the regional qualifiers, the recent announcement confirmed the following teams will compete for places in the Ohio based finals:
