ASUS ROG DreamLeague #2 : Empire and VP.Polar advance from EU-East

The matches of the EU-East group of ASUS ROG DreamLeague #2 are now over, and two teams have advanced to the next, offline phase. Empire finished first and undefeated with 9-0, while VP.Polar barely surpassed Virtus.Pro with a 5-4 score.

The regional groupstage of AUS ROG DreamLeague #2 is currently ongoing, and the four teams of each group are in pursuit of the top two positions that lead to the next  round. The participants that qualify will join the invited teams at the DreamHack Studios in November for the offline round-robin phase. The Eastern European group concluded today, with Empire and VP.Polar securing their tickets to Stockholm.

The clear leader of the EU-East group is Team Empire, going undefeated through every three-game series they played. However, the second placer remained unknown until the final game of the group, as Virtus.Pro and VP.Polar were dueling fiercely for the spot. In the end, Virtus.Pro did not manage to grab any points against Empire, while VP.Polar earned a perfect three in their battle against xGame.Kz, as well as the ticket to Stockholm.

The matches continue this Monday, October 20th, with the Asian group. So far, the only known participant is MVP.Phoenix, as they are the winners of the Asian qualifiers. The other three teams received direct invitations and they will be announced soon. For more information regarding the schedule and format of DreamLeague, check out our coverage hub here.
