Cloud9 overpower Team Tinker to win NVIDIA Game24 Invitational

The 24-hour marathon tournament NVIDIA Game24 Invitational is now over, and Cloud9 managed to claim the first place and $7000. After their 3-1 defeat in the finals, Team Tinker will have to settle for $4000, while both EG and Alliance will go home with $2000.

Cloud9 have added yet another title to their collection, their first gold medal after the introduction of Adrian 'FATA' Trinks to their squad. This time, their triumph took place in NVIDIA Game24 Invitational, after a 3-1 victory in the best-of-five Grand Final against Team Tinker. The two teams managed to reach the last match after their respective victories against Alliance and Evil Geniuses, which were held earlier today.

The day opened with the initial best-of-five match between EG and C9 at 7:00 CEST, with the Americans snatching only one victory from C9 using a massive push strategy. Alliance and Team Tinker faced off at 13:00 CEST, offering a very entertaining match with intense teamfights and base races. In the end, after a thriller fifth game, Team Tinker secured their spot in the Grand Final. The final battle kicked off at 20:30 CEST, with Tinker grabbing a convincing victory in the first game. However, C9 came back with an impressive showcase of good drafting and execution, giving little chances to their opponent in the three following matches.
