Mousesports returning to DotA2

After several months of inactivity, the German gaming organization Mousesports will be returning to DotA2 with a brand new squad. No official announcement has been made about the team's roster, but speculations point towards the European Team DOG.

'The Banner has been set again". With this phrase, the eSports organization Mousesports announced their upcoming adventure in the world of competitive DotA2. The Germany-based team was one of the most feared opponents in the European DotA scene in 2013, and they aim to return to glory once again with a brand new roster.

Mouseports (aka Mouz) took part in The International 2 in 2012, without much success in the event. The following year was one of the best - if not the best - for the German squad, with numerous prestigious victories in Western tournaments. The most important achievement of the 2013 Mouz was their first place finish in the Western qualifiers of The International 3, which secured them a spot in Seattle. However, once again the team failed to show their strength in the biggest event of the year. After TI3, the team's low morale brought the departure of four of their members, and the club picked an all-Danish squad let by Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen. The team did manage to find some positive results in the European scene, but it eventually disbanded in January 2014.

No official announcement has been made about the new Mouz roster. However, rumors originating from social media suggest that Mousesports picked-up Team DOG, a formidable European roster that recently managed to qualify for ESL One 2013 and the European qualifiers of The International 4.
