Alliance is the champion of Dreamhack Bucharest Invitational

Taking down Cloud9 in two quite fast games, Alliance earned the gold in DH Bucharest DotA2 tournament. Through their victory, they receive the first prize of $15,300, while Cloud9 will go home with the second prize reward of $8,700.

The Dreamhack Bucharest invitational tournament has just concluded and Alliance managed to add another Dreamhack trophy in their collection. The Swedes reached the Grand Final from the Lower Bracker, after being defeated by Cloud9. However, EternalEnvy's boys could not repeat yesterday's performance, and were ultimately crushed with 2-0 in the best-of-three series.

During their award ceremony interview, Cloud9 stated that they had trouble coping with the 'grand final anxiety', and their stress prevented a decent performance in the final game. This lead to several significant mistakes, both during drafting and in-game. Alliance, on the other hand, mentioned that their victory is a significant confidence boost for the team, and will surely help them overcome the small slump they have been experiencing lately.

Alliance vs Cloud9 [Winner : Alliance]

Game One

C9 used a very greedy line-up with three core heroes, giving an unusual Storm Spirit to bOne7. Despite several sloppy early engagements, Alliance had the full control of the game since start. The continuous gank attemps against Loda's Ember Spirit all proved futile as the Flame Guard prevented most of the magical damage coming out of the Dire heroes. With C9's roaming being fruitless and EternalEnvy's Tiny not having the required farm, Alliance just rolled over their opposition. The 'GG' was called a few seconds after the 30th minute mark, as Loda was finishing a triple kill and a Godlike Streak on his Ember Spirit.

Game Two

Much like the first game, Cloud9 went for a pretty unconventional draft, selecting a last-pick Templar Assassin against s4's Batrider. C9 successfully warded the Dire jungle right off the bat, but Alliance's supports focused on ganking SingSing's TA rather than farming early. The mid-lane matchup was pretty crippling for SingSing, but he eventually managed to farm a Black King Bar to boost his teamfight impact. However, it seemed to be too late for the international squad, as Alliance's Blink Daggers and Loda's overfarmed Luna gave the Swedes an unfair advantage in the teamfights. With 24 minutes on the clock, Alliance won a 4-0 teamfight inside the Radiant jungle, and forced the 'GG' out of EternalEnvy.
