After several years in the roster of The Retry, Vladimir 'PGG' Anosov has decided to depart the Russian squad to join the Ahead Gaming team. Along with PGG, the Ukraine-based organization also recruited the former members of The Retry, zxc and Newb1k.
The Retry has been the home and personal project of Vladimir 'PGG' Anosov, one of the most famous and controversial personalities of the Eastern European scene. After several unsuccessful roster changes and fruitless participation in major European competitions, PGG has decided to leave The Retry once again to join the Ukrainian squad Ahead Gaming. Artern 'newb1k' Pivarovich and Vitalii 'zxc' Damastoy will also join PGG in Ahead Gaming, along with the Russian player Afterlife.
Ahead Gaming is a relatively new organization in the Dota2 competitive scene, formed in 2013. They initially sponsored the players of NEXT.Kz, but their cooperation was interrupted pretty fast. After dropping the Kazakhs, Ahead picked up a new CIS squad, Courage Gaming without much success (they did manage to participate in Star Series Season IX but could not reach the LAN finals).
We have no information about the future of the players left teamless by the player transfers, but with PGG's departure it is safe to assume that The Retry has disbanded once again. With the new roster, Ahead Gaming will aim to accomplish their first significant achievements in the European Dota2 scene, helping PGG and his buddies return to their old good form.
