LGD are the champions of Redbull ECL after a clean 3-0 final against Orange. Their first place grants them 100.000 RMB, and Orange will settle for 20.000 RMB. Rising Stars earned the third place against DK for 10.000 RMB.
Redbull ECL tournament proved to be quite a show for the DotA 2 spectators, with both the 1v1 and team events containing exciting games and many surprises. However, it also suffered from the poor scheduling, forcing some matches to be played during really inadequate periods of the day for both players and spectators.
The grand final between Orange and LGD.cn was down pretty fast, with LGD giving no chance to the Malaysians for the grand prize. Mushi and the boys even used Skeleton King in their last game, but their strategy did not work well as Sylar's Gyrocopter was genuinely overwhelming. LGD won the third game with ease, and the grand prize along with it.
For the third place prize, Rising Stars overwhelmed DK with a 2-0. After the good run they had in Redbull ECL, DK could not get a share of the prizepool, while Rising Stars managed to secure the 10.000 RMB prize.
