NVIDIA GosuGamers KOTH: DIMAGA opting for something new

GousGamers checks the pulse on Dima "DIMAGA" Filipchuk prior to tonight's NVIDIA GosuGamers King of the Hill.

You have mentioned before that you were thinking of changing race. Are you still thinking of switching away from Zerg?

- I'm waiting for a patch. Zerg is still the weakest race nowadays.

You have recently been losing to a lot of Protoss players, such as White-Ra, HasuObs, KiwiKaKi. How tough is playing Protoss for you? What are the key points for a Zerg to win?

Yeah, I am, and it's still hard... I am losing many games against Protoss right now.

You lost to HuK earlier, in the NVIDIA GosuCup qualifier, what did you learn from that match that you will be taking with you into this King of the Hill match?

- Yeah, well, nowadays I play a little bit different, so I will try to do my best.

You have won tons of cups in the European StarCraft 2 scene. What differs from an event like this (KOTH) and playing an open tournament like ZOTAC or Go4SC2 in mindset and preparation?

- Sometimes it's more mindgames in tournaments like this because when you are playing best of seven it is a lot more different maps and more games. As for preparation, it's the same: laddering and playing games with friends and team mates.

Have you practiced anything special coming into the match?

- I don't have enough time for that right now due to some problems in real life, but it is okay now and I will try to make something new. Maybe it will be a huge step in the Zerg playstyle. We'll see!

Out of all your matches in the GosuGamers database, only two series have been against Zerg players. Why do you think there are so few Zerg players reaching far in tournaments? It's early, but do you feel players are reaching the race's full potential?

- As I said before Zerg is too weak. I wouldn't say we've reached the race's full potential, but it's still very hard to deal with Terran and Protoss. One of the Zerg's biggest problems is that Zerg really don't have any good damage-per-second units.

How are you enjoying your time in mTw? How is it playing there compared to your time back in RoX-Gaming?

- It's really good, I like it so much! I play many games with DeMusliM and NightEnD, and it's really easy to communicate with other team mates. It's a great pleasure to be in this team.

You ended in third place at the IEM Global Challenge gamescom - tell us about the experience.

- It was the greatest event I have been in. You gain huge experience with tournaments like this. You can share experiences with other players and talk about StarCraft 2 and other things. It's really great, I like it so much!

- I want to wish the best of luck to HuK!
