ESWC: Groups A-D results

The half of Group stage 1 is over in the ESWC 2006 tournament. Groups A-D started this day, and now all of their matches are over. Top 3 from each group advances to the second group stage.

2d78fb5eef0cdf7029827675aa07ac86de1ef5f2f49a69d5fee92e3d7dIn Group A we saw FoV (picture), PaTo and Zerter advancing. FoV went undefeated, failing winning against only PaTo. The match between those two got tied 1-1, leaving FoV with a tie. PaTo on the other hand had two ties, one with Zerter as well, putting him on 3-2. Zerter was almost close of not making it, losing to FoV, tieing Chase and PaTo. With 8 points, he just made it past the South African player Chase who had 7.

Group B was totallt dominated by the German player Fire. Eliminating all his players, a bit surprisingly defeating both DIDI8 and Wolf. DIDI8 won all his matches except against the Human player Fire, and Wolf lost to the both previously mentioned.

Group C and D has one more player each than Group A and B, making it seven players per group. in Group C Lucifer did an all-kill. The only played who seemed to threaten him was the Norwegian player Creolophus, who won all matches but the one against Lucifer. The Vietnamese player Rua ended up on the same score as the White Russian Spirit, although due to Rua defeating him 2-0 Rua will advance.

715e0b4d569ca6b552cc19499765b686ce90bd767bf4fef2d8c2829e3bNightWolf, the second White Russian, won Group D. He did so by tieing suHo and winning the rest of his matches. A bit of a surprise was the Singapore player GosuBay tieing the World Elite player suHo, placing suHo (picture) below NightWolf. The Swedish hope, FuRy barely made it past the group, tueing Canadian APM, losing to NightWolf and tieing suHo.
