WC3L: Qual. Round 1 over

The first round of the ninth qualifier for WC3L ended today. The last match was between NiP-Gaming and Team zer0. NiP scored a 5-0 (10-0) match, and shows they're definitely a team to count with up ahead.

No major surprises in the first round, apart from maybe the match between the Swedish team idle and the Russian team ecl, where the majority of the Gosubetters believed in the Swedish team. 16 teams advances to the second round, while the rest moves down to the Loser Bracket. The two matches with Clan-IT and plan-B were not played, since they were autoqualified for the second round due to playing in WC3L Season 8.

Favourites NiP, WE, SK06 and rS advances with ease

In a GosuGamers poll, we asked you which team you would like to see take part in WC3L Season 9. The top four teams you voted for was NiP-Gaming, World Elite, SK06 and RSGaming. These four teams advanced with ease to the second round. The next round will be interesting, especially the match between RSGaming and World Elite. NiP-Gaming looks to get an autowin, while SK06 will take on AoD.
