The top ten in our Carrier ladder is changing a lot. For quite a while the Macedonian player OctoberZerg withheld the number one spot, but then reset just to be able to play more games using the automatch feature. After 3587 games played, we caught up with a couple of players to ask for their opinions. We found the second ranked player iG.Arcneon hanging around and we asked the Finnish Protoss of what he thought about the BETA season of Carrier so far.
First of all, what do you think of the Carrier system?
- I think it's very good, fast and easy to use, although for slower PC's like my old one, alt+tabbing all the time can be REALLY irritating, for me there's no problem. I just would hope more players would play it and make it a better ladder
You are currently ranked second, how is the level of competition?
- Think it's pretty low skill at the moment, but some players at the top are fine players. I'm personally playing this ladder to recognize cheeses ^^ Too many times in cw's I've been slayed by some stupid cheeses I couldn't see coming, ladders always an easy way to solve this problem.
What changes should we do on the ladder to attract more players?
- Hard to say, I think the best way to attract players is to get koreans interested and to play it, rest will follow.
And what about our ranked system? Should we do any changes there? Is it too easy to become top ranked?
- Yes definitely ^^ Surely is too easy to get top rank at the moment
What maps do you think we should implement after the BETA season?
- Hmm, well it's always good for ladders to have the maps players are needing at the moment, current promaps WCG, ECG and so on ;p Could add couple weird maps there also like you have now - Undying lands I really like it. More strategic, better in my opinion ^^
