With ESWC just around the corner, GosuGamers caught up with Tribal`Phoenix, leader for the host country's DotA team, Tribal.fr. See what they have to say regarding their chances at the big event and what they plan to do to the European teams

Can u give us a brief introduction about yourself?
-My name is Pierre-Baptiste. I'm 18 years old I am currently a student.

Thats a very French name
-Yeah. *laughs*

Alright then, lets go to your team members then. Can you tell me who would be in the roster for ESWC and what roles they will be playing?
-There is Combal who will play carry most of the time, New will play support, Neosia the ganker, YoYa a semi-carry ganker and me an all-rounder, but I mostly play gankers and carry. Margeta will be our manager because he didn't take part of qualifications.

I assume that you have already seen the attending teams list for ESWC. What do u think of the list? Do you like the diversity?
-Yes i like it. Its like soccer world cup, there are good teams and teams which are not so good, but they'll be some surprises.

So where do u rank your own team? Good team or not so good team?
-We know that we are one of the weakest team around. But we will do our best to defeat some good teams.

While you rate yourself as one of the weakest team don't you think that having the grand finals in Paris would benefit you? Since your team would have a hometown advantage and wont need to travel much
-Yes of course not to mention that we will have a lots of supporters.

So what teams are you afraid of personally?
-I'm a big fan of Asian DotA, so i would like to play against them. But i can't say that we are afraid of any team really. We have nothing to lose because we are one of the weakest team. So the pressure will be on them because they'll have to be careful not to lose against teams like us.

That would be an embarrassment won't it?
-if their aim is to win ESWC. Kinda.

You say your a big fan of Asian DotA. What do u think of the Asian teams joining?
-I'm very happy to see them coming to Paris. I'm just a little sad team such as LGD.sGty or KS.LGD are not coming but the rule of one team per country has been respected.

Well Germany got two teams. what do u say to that?
-I think ESWC admins can't really make a choice, because those 2 teams are very close, so they invited both. But it's kind of disappointing that they didn't respect their "One team per country" rule

So your saying that u respect the one team per country rule, but disappointed that the admins did not respect it?
-They made an exception as they had to take into account of the travel cost of the teams . Germany is close to France so its easier for the teams to come to this event

What are ur personal picks for top 4 for ESWC?
-EHOME, Aeon, MUFC and DTS will be the top four.

So are u guys planning any strategies for the event? Like maybe bring the MYM or Blight boys out for a drink and then leaving them there asking them to find their way back to Disneyland
-Paris is a very big city, they'll have no chance to find they way back if we do that. *laughs*

Then I better warn them not to trust the French
-Yes indeed. I know that Combal want to see misery drunk so he should be careful.
