Fnatic & GODSENT reach transfer agreement for two-player swap

Fnatic & GODSENT have reached a transfer agreement to swap players Jesper “JW” Wecksell and Robin “flusha” Rönnquist with Joakim “disco doplan” Gidetun and Simon “twist” Eliasson. The transfer will reunite the highly successful late 2015-2016 Fnatic roster, and send disco doplan and twist to GODSENT.

Fnatic CGO Patrik “cArn” Sättermon had the following to say in regards to the swap:

“Needless to say, the aftermath of the team’s split in August came with many challenges and although we have shown great promise of late, we are confident that the revival of our old line-up will accelerate our journey towards once again being the best Counter-Strike franchise in the World.”

The fnatic organization apologized for any confusion that the previous swap with GODSENT may have caused; they indicated that it often takes a significant time apart to acknowledge how special a team bond could be. With the swap, fnatic hopes to return to form and dominate the scene as they did last year prior to the first player swap between the two organizations.

From a spectator’s perspective, the transfer should prove to benefit both teams, who finished the ELEAGUE Major in Atlanta with less-than-stellar results, and had not experienced much success in recent months.

Both GODSENT and fnatic will be participating in the upcoming IEM Katowice closed qualifier, fnatic with their full line-up, and GODSENT using a stand-in.

fnatic’s ’s current lineup after the swap:

Sweden Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer
Sweden Dennis “dennis” Edman
Sweden Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson
Sweden Jesper “JW” Wecksell
Sweden Robin "flusha" Rönnquist

GODSENT’s current lineup after the swap:

Sweden Andreas “znajder” Lindberg
Sweden Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson
Sweden Simon “twist” Eliasson
Sweden Joakim “disco doplan” Gidetun
