karrigan signs with FaZe Clan

It was revealed this week that Astralis and FaZe Clan had come to an agreement to transfer karrigan to the North American organization's roster; to make room for the new line-up, FaZe benched one of their most recent additions, Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey.

Dreamhack Open 2017 details revealed

Dreamhack will be taking their Open series into its sixth straight year following this weeks's announcement of the nine-event line-up the organization has slated for the coming year. The events spread across Europe and North America, will each feature a hefty $100,000 prize pot and eight slots for teams, and will follow the formats seen at previous open events.

 

Liquid drops peacemaker

peacemaker once again is packing his bags with the week's announcement that he and Team Liquid have come to a mutual agreement to part ways with the team, leaving the coaching responsibilities to team manager Steve “Joka” Perino.

King of Nordic S5 to begin

The organizers behind the popular King of Nordic have upped the ante for the fifth season of the event this time around, quadrupling the prize pool from previous editions to a respectable €10,000. Season five will also be different in that Iceland now has their own slot in the tournament, as well as a partnership with Gamer.no to run the Norwegian qualifiers. King of Nordic will kick off next week on the 28th.

ECS finals set for Anaheim

$750,000 will be on the line this December at the Anaheim Arena for the second offline finals of FACEIT's flagship Electronic Championship Series, the Twitch-backed CS:GO tournament that is now in its second season. The top four teams will face off from December 9th to the 11th in front of thousands of North American fans, promising to make the event one of the largest CS events in Southern California with almost 18,000 spectator capacity in the venue.
