Prime matchmaking, Gamma case

For the second week in a row Valve has pushed out a new update for CS:GO, this time enabling the eagerly-awaited Prime matchmaking functionality as well as a new weapon case. Alongside the two main changes the developers made minor modifications to sounds in the game, updating firing sound as well as introducing an audible low ammo ping on most guns.

SPUNJ announces retirement

Rumours have been flying since earlier this month that Renegades would be parting ways with their long-time captain after he was spotted removing all team-related branding from his Twitter account. Those rumours have now been confirmed this week as Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill has released an official statement on the matter, revealing that he plans from professional play altogether.

Hellraisers lose Lmbt as coach

Hellraisers revealed this week that they have decided to part ways with their CS:GO team's coach, Sergey "Lmbt" Bezhanov, following the team failing to qualify for ESL One Cologne 2016 at the events main qualifier. The organisation has not yet officially announced a replacement coach.

Twitch to sue viewbotting outlets

The online streaming site has decided to put their foot down this week as they have announced they will be pursuing legal action against companies that that offer Twitch viewbotting services. The move is a part of Twitch's on-going effort to reduce viewer inflation, a serious problem even among some of the most popular streamers and organisations.

Kinguin signs D&G

The online game retailer has secured the services of a CS:GO team this week after an almost ten month hiatus from the scene, bringing in Dobry&Gaming's Polish roster. The team has played under a number of notable banners, including G2 eSports and Lounge Gaming, as well as landing a number of impressive finishes at major tournaments.
