In the upper bracket semi finals of CEVO, Evil Geniuses defeated Blight Gaming in a 49 minute long match.
- It kinda sucks but I definitely think we gained even more confidence than we had before the match. We went in thinking we had a legit chance to win and we came out believing the same, writes Blight Gaming player Kapila "kapz" Bhamidipati in his blog entry.
- Hats off to EG for sticking in there and making a comeback albeit at our expense.
kapz further explains he believes they lost due to the Keeper of the Light and all their long range nukes.
- Keeper of the Light kept blasting away our pushes which made it difficult for us to damage tower without tanking it, all the while Phantom Lancer farmed different lanes and allowed Sandking who was not doing well to gain his blink dagger, says kapz.

Evil Geniuses will now take on oBaby in the upper bracket final while Blight Gaming will have to go through a long lower bracket ride to have a shot to have a shot at the championship title.
