Yapresents wins european regionals

While most eyes were on League of Legends and Starcraft 2 this weekend, the World of Warcraft regional finals were also played out at Gamescom.

It's been a while since we saw World of Warcraft on ESL, but one thing that remains the same is Another being at the top of the game. His team, Yapresents, made it to the finals of the European Regionals pretty comfortably, and seemed favourites to win the whole thing. Standing in their way was the double-Shaman/Warlock composition of Just Being Honest. But the veteran from Croatia was not to be denied. His Deathknight/Shaman/Priest team was just too strong and they crushed through the final with an impressive 3-0 score. After grinding out a hard-fought 2-0 lead, Ring of Valor came up as the last map. If you were watching the stream and blinked you probably missed the final game, but Yapresents melted their opponents in seconds.

Still, despite the heavy defeat, Just Being Honest will go away from the tournament satisfied. They will join the victors in China for the world finals, and grabbed themselves a pretty nice check for consolation. With the whole tournament being played out in a day, the greater tournament experience of Another's team surely made a big difference.
